Tuesday the 29th
Library Announcements: Book club is tomorrow! Yay! Remember, if you are coming up from first lunch, please get a pass from either Mrs. Rouleau or Mrs. Hall.
Vivian Vande Velde will be visiting tomorrow from 9 until 10 a.m. in the library media center. She will be presenting about writing to the 6th grade. Ms. Vande Velde lives in Rochester and writes mysteries and adaptations of fairy tales. Check out her books in the library!
Fun Fact: October 29th is the birthday of actress Winona Ryder. If you are an 11th grader, you probably know Ryder best in her role as Abigail Williams in The Crucible.
Bonus Fun Fact: Did you know The Crucible movie was originally supposed to star Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson? One of Mrs. Rouleau's professors at St. Bonaventure was an adviser to the the Branagh/Thompson adaptation. Unfortunately, there were problems with this production of the movie. Eventually, the project got a new director and actors and became The Crucible movie that we show in ELA today.
