Reading Friday

Welcome to another installment of Reading Friday! We have much to share with you today, so I am just going to make a list:

1. Did you know that you can borrow a Kindle from the library media center? The Kindles are pre-loaded with different authors and titles. You can check to see what is on each Kindle by searching "Kindle" in Follett Destiny. Know that more titles are being added every day, so please keep checking back. Also, if you would like a title that is not on the Kindle, please let me know.

2. Did you catch A.S. King speaking at the library this past Tuesday? Reality Boy, her new book, will be on sale starting this Tuesday at a bookstore near you. The audience for this book is readers who are 15 or older.

3. Book club will be during the lunches this coming Wednesday. Please RSVP with Mrs. Rouleau if you plan on coming. If you are coming from first lunch, you must get a pass from Mrs. Rouleau or Mrs. Hall.

4. What I'm reading: Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger. According to the book jacket, "Sophronia is more interested in dismantling clocks and climbing trees than in proper manners...Mrs. Temminnick is desperate for her daughter to become a proper lady. So she enrolls Sophronia in Mademoiselle Geraldine's Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality. But Sophronia soon realizes the school is not quite what her mother might have hoped. At Mademoiselle Geraldine's, young ladies learn to finish...everything. Certainly they learn the fine arts of dance, dress and etiquette, but they also learn to deal out death, diversion and espionage--in the politest possible ways, of course."

This book is available in our library.
