Support the Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival!

As you already know, Saturday, October 12th is our annual TBF Read-a-Thon where about 75 or so teens will gather at Barnes and Noble to read and raise money for TBF.  Each year we also have a B&N Book Fair.  Everyone who makes a purchase at any B&N on October 12th…and who presents a TBF voucher…will be helping out TBF.  A portion of all of those sales (including any at the cafes in B&N) will go to TBF.  All money raised will go to the fundraising challenge.  If we raise $9000 by April 1, 2014 (in celebration of our 9th year) I and several TBF Committee members will have to dress Steampunk Style for TBF.  http://www.steampunk.com/what-is-steampunk/

This year, we also have a special event planned around the RAT.  TBF Alum and Award-Winning author, A.S. (Amy) King will be helping us kick-off the TBF fundraising year AND our annual Greater Rochester Teen Read initiative, now in its fourth year.  Celebrated during Teen Read Week, each year our community is encouraged to all read the same teen book.  This year the theme is bullying and the selected book is Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King.  Amy will be at B&N at 7pm for a special presentation and book signing.

Here are the book fair vouchers in case you have some shopping you can do on the 12th (the Holidays are right around the corner!).  You can also shop online for several days following the 12th…just enter the book fair voucher number online during checkout. You can also get a book fair voucher from Mrs. Rouleau.

As always, thanks for your support of TBF!
