Save the Date!

Laurie Halse Anderson, author of Chains, Speak, Wintergirls and many other books.

The Read-a-Thon for the Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival (TBF) is Saturday, November 1st, at Barnes and Noble in Pittsford from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Laurie Halse Anderson, author of Speak, Wintergirls and Chains, will be signing books.

What's a Read-a-Thon, you ask? A Read-a-Thon is when participants sit and read to raise money for a cause. Every reader who participates will get a TBF t-shirt. There will be drawings for other prizes AND the teen who raises the most money wins tickets to attend the author dinner the Friday before TBF.

In addition, Mercy students will be able to buy a book and donate it to the library media center.

Does it sound like fun? If so, stop down to the library media center and see Mrs. Rouleau for more details.
